This location is in the heart of California, it is the state’s top agricultural producing region, frequently referred to as “the nation’s salad bowl” because of its abundance of fruits and vegetables grown in it’s gloriously rich soil. San Joaquin Valley is California’s leading agricultural bio-region and five of it’s own counties rank among the state’s Top 10 counties in farm production. The Oil and Gas industry relies heavily upon this great area as well, the deepest wells and half of the largest oil fields are found in Kern County.
The climate of this specific area includes hot and dry in the Summer with long sunny days while the Winters are moist and covered with heavy fog. In it’s geographic aspect you will find the San Joaquin the major river of the area and the California Aqueduct extends the entire length of the bio-region. You will also find three more rivers south, Kings, Kaweah and Kern rivers.
